We are addicted to Tyrell’s pork scratchings!! They are currently running a competition and the prize is a weekend in either Miss Marple, our 1100 or Frogeye Sprite. Good Luck!
Zebedee was cosy and warm; he has just returned from an event at the NEC in Birmingham where he revelled in all the attention, he’s so vain!! He saved his legs and took the easy route, transported by Joe from Move My Motor considering he will be 50 this year (Zebedee, not Joe!) we will forgive his laziness!!
Winter means health checks and MOT time; Rolls & Merc both passed with flying colours last week and Bongo, Zeb and the MK2 are booked in for this week. Lee from LMD Vehicle Repairs collects and returns the vehicles for us; I guess he enjoys having a drive in 24 various vehicles for free…..
Please DO NOT mention curtain hooks to me! It’s deep clean time for all the buses. Curtains out, hooks out, washing machine, airer, iron, hooks in, re-hang, pleat. Tries the patience of a saint!
Miss Marple, our Morris Minor, and the MK2 both attended the same wedding last weekend. We were a little concerned about the high winds and Miss Marple’s roof (bear in mind she is 64 years old) but she returned yesterday unscathed; she loves a good wedding! We did ask the groom if he wished to upgrade to the Rolls but were clearly told ‘No Miss Marple and the wedding will be off!’ The car was the bride’s guest of honour!!
The Healey is our busiest car this week; out on day hires on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The AC Cobra is also booked for Saturday so fingers crossed for dry weather for them all.
West Sussex Gazette is well worth purchasing at the moment – the whole back page is all about the Dream Team here at Vanilla Splits and Classics!! The lovely Grant Ford popped in to meet us and has written a fantastic article.
Despite the dreadful weather we’ve all experienced recently we are just extremely thankful here at Vanilla HQ that we haven’t been affected directly. As a small company we empathise with the devastating effects the weather tolls on lives and livelihoods and hope to see some drier conditions before too long.
If any of you want to visit Vanilla please call us on 01243 545 725 to arrange a time; can’t guarantee there will be any pork scratchings left though….
Best wishes from The Dream Team.
