Mike was the lucky gentleman who won a free weekend in the car of his choice when he visited us at The Goodwood Revival in September. Today he arrived with his wife and daughter to collect the Silver Shadow Rolls Royce (1978) and set off for a regal experience.

In "Continental Drifter" Tim Moore describes the Silver Shadow like this: "After heaving the door closed with a dungeon clunk, I vaguely centralised myself in the Chesterfield driver's seat and placed my hands at ten-to-two on a Bakelite hoop the diameter of a cartwheel. In front of me yawned a tapering bonnet topped by the Spirit of Ecstacy and flanked by little nascent fins...
